RISE UP TORONTO!

THANK YOU, TORONTO! ⁣🙏🙏💙💙 ⁣ July 30th, 2020 was World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. Nearly 80 people took to the streets of downtown Toronto with One Body Village and Operation Underground Railroad to RISE UP ☝️ and GET LOUD 📢 for children everywhere! Every participant proudly carried a blue balloon and made it LOUD and CLEAR that child trafficking has no place on this earth! ⁣We were UNITED in our common goal to DEFEND CHILDREN! ⁣ A fire 🔥🔥 has been ignited across the globe, thanks to @ourrescue's RISE UP FOR CHILDREN campaign. This is just the beginning. We will not stop until the last child is free! ⁣ ⁣ Special thank you 🙏to Toronto City Councillor James Pasternak for reassuring us that Toronto is committed to policies that protect children, to the volunteers of Better Futures for Kids and Ao Dai Canada for helping us GET LOUD, and volunteer photographer/videographer Aidan Lefebvre and Rex Budiwarman for capturing the demonstration! ⁣ WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP? - Stay informed⁣ - Share human trafficking news and facts⁣ - Get involved and volunteer with an anti-trafficking organization⁣ - Donate to an anti-trafficking organization like ours to help rescue and support children⁣ - Advocate and put pressure on our leaders to improve funding, laws, and policies that protect children ⁣ Together, we are stronger than slavery! ⁣🤘🙏🔥🇨🇦💙
