HAMxOBV First Annual Charity Golf Classic Was A Success!
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Harlene & Giselle and the rest of the Hard As A Mother Podcast team for choosing One Body Village Canada as their non-profit of choice to receive proceeds of their Charity Golf Classic. Their selfless hard work to put together the tournament in less than 2 months for children across the globe deeply moves us.
The event held on Sunday, July 27th, 2021 brought out over 100 golfers to the Sundre Golf Club to enjoy some fun in the (very hot) sun! We would like to sincerely thank the golfers for their kindness and compassion towards our cause.
Thank you to our enthusiastic 18 volunteers that drove 1.5 hours to and from the event, braved the heat, and worked tirelessly for 9 hours to make our event run ever-so smoothly. We could not have done it without them!
Thank you to our generous community of 10+ sponsors that made our event an incredible success. From sponsoring holes to donating cash, gifts and prizes, our sponsors were the key to making our first golf tournament an incredible success.
Lastly, thank you to staff and team at the Sundre Golf Club for kindly hosting our event and supporting our mission to end child sexual exploitation.
Together, we raised $6821.25 to purchase new laptops and learning equipment for our children in Vietnam and Cambodia! This new equipment is desperately needed, especially during times of COVID-19 and ongoing stay-at-home orders in both countries. Our children deserved better and faster equipment to facilitate their online learning and counseling sessions.
